Michael Peel is no beginner when it comes to birds, coming from a background of breeding record breaking, award winning live stock. Birds have always been his love starting with breeding budgies as a little boy in the 1950’s all the way to breaking a world record for the highest price received at an auction for a Muscovy Duck, at Sydney Royal Easter Show. Heads were also turned in 2013 when Michael sold a breeding pair of “Camden White Toulouse” at Sydney Royal Easter Show’s Poultry Auction for $3,300 AUD.
Michael has perfected his flock, already holding the title of Champion Goose or Gander at the Sydney Royal Easter Show many times over.
The Royal Agricultural Show now has a 100 year perpetual trophy in the name of Michael Peel.
The trophy is to be presented yearly to the winner of ‘Best Goose, or Gander’.
